Welcome to The Home of the Cascades Rapids Swim Team

The Cascades Rapids is a member-run, family-oriented summer swim team that seeks to provide a fun and competitive environment for the swimmers in the Cascades community.  The team consists of approximately 200 swimmers from 150 families that compete in the Colonial Swim League.

Two More Team Records Set !!

The Rapids finished off a fabulous season with an impressive performance at All Stars. Twenty four Rapids qualified to race against the best of the best from the 24 team Colonial Swim League and our Rapids took home 14 top 5 finishes !! Way to go swimmers !! Along the way two more team records were set. 13 year old William Linn continued his assualt on the 13-14 boys record book with another record breaking IM time of 1.08:43. Sara Schlemmer set a new mark in the 11-12 girls breaststroke with a first place finishing time of 40.14. The old record of 40.27 was set in 2003 by Rapid superstar Kirby Shook. Way to go William and Sara !! Congratulations to all the swimmers, on another great season !! Top 5 finishes listed below :

RAPIDS ROLL AT DIVISIONALS!
Two New Team Records Set!

The Cascades Rapids hosted the Red Division Divisional Meet on Saturday. The team portion of the season ended last Saturday and the Divisional meet is a qualifying meet for Allstars. Swimmers compete at their meet as well as against other swimmers swimming at the 3 other Divisional Meets and the top 15 from across the league from each age group qualify to swim next Saturday at All Stars. At the Red Division meet the Rapids swam with power and speed and took an amazing 20 top three finishes. 5 first place, 9 second place, and 6 third place. Way to go swimmers !! Most swimmers went best times and two swims were actually best ever. In the 13-14 boys 100 IM William Lin swam a powerful 1:08.50 besting his own team record of 1:08.52 set two weeks ago. In the 11-12 boys 50 fly Vince Marrocco swam a blazing 32.21 to eclipse the 14 year old record of 32.31 set by Patrick Patterson. Way to go William and Vince !! Congratulations to all the swimmers on an outstanding season and good luck to all those who qualified for all stars.
